Album artwork for folk-rock musician Robert Hinton's second album, Explaining Colour. In Robert's lyrics there are many references to clouds and the sky both metaphorically and literally and the contrasting colour is derived from song lyrics too. Golden orange peaks out on the back and front covers through typography, then becomes totally colour-blocked once opened referencing a physical and emotional transition.

Moving to New York City from Perth was a significant culture shock. In particular, the environment and the sheer size and quantity of towering skyscrapers in such a concentrated area.
I wanted to translate this dense and hypnotic visual into a bold display face inspired by the monotony of windows and concrete facades.
375 refers to a specific building in NYC from which the concept arose, yet all the buildings in Manhattan contribute to this bizarre, overlapping and often illusionary effect.
375 comes in 3 weights: Window, Facade and Earthquake.

Identity design for The City of Fremantle Arts. It is a sub-division operating within the city of Fremantle, organising and promoting creative events in the area.
The new identity provides a strong visual link to all creative ventures in Fremantle, becoming a flagship identity for Fremantle arts culture.
The concept uses the word ‘Fremantle' as the flexible element, signifying creativity and experimentation in the context of the city and its community. The second function for the identity is its ability to directly adapt to any associative artwork using a linking colour palette.

Identity for Shin Sei Kan Antiquities, a Perth-based weapons and antiques dealer. The logo incorporates two Japanese Kanji characters translating to the individual dealer and the associative martial arts school.
The secondary logo element surrounding the Kanji is symbolic of the Kan: The means by which the style [Kan] is preserved for future generations and in so embodies all the knowledge to be taught and also the manner by which it is passed on to students.

Album artwork for Perth singer / songwriter Robert Hinton's debut release: Winter Sun. The album concept revolves around nature and its correlation with life; this is reflected in the design with a flipped cover photo to create a lack of coherence amongst crashing waves.
